In Acknowledgment of National Poetry Month... I am asked what is my purpose as a Poet Laureate... I answer L I F E... to be known by our gifts, our needs, each letter, each word a journey, be it the Love that serves self and others, the Inspiration that speaks to heart and vision, the Freedom that defines our spirit, the Eternal ever present... Yes, an awakening to L I F E defines my purpose.
