This Old Chinese Kimono

This old Chinese kimono a gift of days long since past
With gentle comfort and light feel upon this body cast
Worn, torn and tattered in spots here, there and about
Discard me not I hear its many threads cry and shout
I welcome your body and the feel of its warmth and pride
I am ever ready to wrap you, though old, put me not aside.

  2. In answer to your question regarding age ...

    Seven Decades

I heed the purpose and the call
    And naught regret and befall
    Seven decades in life’s embrace
Wonder, faith, fleeting doubt and fear to trace
    In reflection light ever known
    God’s love and guidance shown
Blessed by the gift of sons so dear
Love and new meaning in each growing year
And so on this day ‘tis Spring to rejoice
Life anew and abundance be the choice
This my Birthday and I so decree
Thank You for this celebration of me.

March 28th - this year present...
