A Memorial Day Service ~ Sunday, May 24, 2015

The sky an azure blue, the sun ever so brilliant, the American and POW Flags touched by the gentle wind. This the setting at the Walkway of American Heroes, Tappan, New York, Memorial Day 2015.  As I saw all those in honorable uniform, holding yet to service and vision, and heard the tributes, the gestures silently spoke of love of country, of love of GOD. And so it is...

A salute, hand to brow, a vision of freedom ever to share

A pledge, hand to heart, a knowing of sacrifices and care

A prayer, hand to hand in loving grace

Gestures they be, the knowing of God's embrace.
