A Night Serenade

Through the open window
In the distance be the train whistle
The rumble of wheels upon track
The thundering airplane directly above
The crickets sing
The silence rests
Gentle winds
Sweet be this summer night
A night serenade
Through the open window.

Through your lovely words I was able to enjoy the night serenade.
