... and so heard... Call to Heart

words and visions be they the start
from which pen and paper call to heart
the poet seizes precious moments in time
offers verse free, or with meter and rhyme
upon surfaces vast so does the poet place
words as sounding soul and expressive grace.

Poetry is not an opinion expressed.
It is a song that rises from a bleeding wound
or a smiling mouth.

All In Grace ... ... and so Nature's mood captured in its changing light and beauty...

nature's mood the rain to come our way
clouds embrace the sun and darkened be the day
lambent be the blue that yet bears the light
and there soars the wings in skyward flight
shadowed upon the ground in silhouette splendor
to the rains to come all in grace surrender.

Andrea Bocelli - Canto della Terra [Live] (English lyrics translation)

Resounding Heart

When I first heard. "Canto della Terra,"   I was taken by its beauty so completely,
tears of celebration, tears of spirit, tears of deep gratitude flowed,
a sea of cresting waves of emotion felt,
as Andrea's singing held my heart captive.

ENJOY.

Weathered Mighty Oak... too soon gone...

Tomorrow my loving towering oak tree is to be taken down. It has been my companion with each season of change for the last 46 years, a symbol of the strength and grace I have been blessed to live. Recent storms have been more than this mighty oak has been able to bear. Limbs have been lost to the ravages of the storms. The loss of this loving oak is painfully sad, the memories are heartfelt joy.
and so...
Weathered Mighty Oak
too soon gone

Deep rooted and held
Your branches like arms reach out
From the heart and depths of earth
Weathered mighty oak
Of many known moons
Healed from the wounds
Of harsh seasons past
Strong, deliberate
Confident in your determined pose
Enfolding the winds and light
The ravages of storms
Beyond your endurance has come
Saddened I be with  your presence no more
Within my  heart be our shared memories ever more.

It is beautifully silhouetted in this evening sky
heard are the strong winter winds
seen is the graceful dancing motion of its branches
It is as if it is taking its last curtain call.
and so
APPLAUSE! BRAVO!

Encounters of Expression...

...encounters of expression...

At one time the word 'art' referred to 'being.' As it may have been asked, "Who art thou?" (archaic 2nd person singular present of be). I see each life as a palette of possibilities, of potentialities, of pas
sion, of power, to be held in awe, in reverence, in celebration, in fulfillment. The artist holds true to these expressions, and so brings these ever present quests to each artful encounter, be it painting, poetry, sculpture, architecture, literature, dance, drama, theater... staging, exhibiting, sharing, purpose fulfilled. With each experience, each perception, our senses engaged, our feeling and knowing defined, our spirit touched. Rose Marie Raccioppi

"The work of art must seize upon you, wrap you up in itself and carry you away. It is the means by which the artist conveys his passion. It is the current which he puts forth, which sweeps you along in his passion. The pain passes, the beauty remains." Pierre-Auguste Renoir

...and so known... SELF ~ ONE ~ ALL

Presence within the depths of soul
Presence within the chambers of heart
So BE this grace of blessings divine
Within the rapture of each breath mine
This breath of SELF within to call
The ecstasy of ONE of ALL.

...the warming sun... the melting snow...days of a New York winter... Libation's Grace

torrential rain, mounds of falling snow
onto the receiving earth below
libation's grace upon land, farm and field
all to Spring's bloom and envisioned yield
earth and root so nourished they be
quiver of grass, the reach of the oak tree
libation be it present and ever so sweet
for the heavens and earth do lovingly meet
gift of the seasons with time ever unfold
feel I the touch of Spring's story yet to be told.

The ALL of ALL

I AM the ALL of ALL
the breath of BEING
the inhalation the exhalation
the rippling waters of the stream
the cresting wave of the ocean
the rising and setting sun
the ebb and flow of the tides
the seed the flower in bloom
the passion the rapture all sensibilities
I AM WOMAN
ever in receipt ever in giving.

It is happening in Tappan, New York right now...brrrrrrrr....

chilling winds from north at play
many a tree in frenetic sway
winter angels busy busy they be
dusting snow as far as I do see
a gossamer veil with winds do blow
and carried be the falling snow
branch and bough all dressed in white
snow crystals and sparkles of light.

Warms hugs my friends...much love...

... within slumber's chambers...

Orion

night be the journey to vistas vast and far
to cosmic clouds and a brilliant distant star

stellar winds and folds of majestic light
I within slumber's chambers held in Orion's light.

...at the morning hour...My Sight to the Lambent Sky

demanding are the many tasks at hand
a perception, a plan, action in command
intention and focus be the call of the day
the gift of time and a knowing provide the way
how sweet when vision is newly held clear
when the din of despair is silenced and gone the fear
how comforting is this moment's embrace
when within heart, love the soul does place
how knowing is this Spirit's call
when resounding with the grace of ALL
and as I cast my sight to the lambent sky
feel I the beauty of the moving clouds up so high
the lithe bamboo touched by the gentle winds that blow
breath, faith, 'tis all that I need now know
the day by Nature's plan shall unfold
and I to be led by the Divine WORD ever told.

...this morning awake... As SELF Known

compliance gives way to creative freedom
restriction gives way to expansive understanding
confinement gives way to total liberation
doubt gives way to boundless faith
judgement gives way to BEING
DIVINE FRENZY the breath of soul
spirit winds aflame
cloak of mortal clothing shed
flaring breath of soul as SELF known.

alchemic... Golden Light

golden light of soul be this moment's decree
the silence of PRESENCE pulses within me
beyond all loss, pain, darkness and despair
ever the endowment of CREATION, light and care
to this rapture of faith and love I willingly succumb
to this golden light of  life I, ALL, ONE.
