Happy 2014 ~ The NOW of Time Eternal

Happy 2014

The NOW of Time Eternal

how many notes need be played
before you are the music
how many brush strokes need be made
before you are the art
how many movements need be complete
before you are the dance
how many lines need be written
before you are the poem
how many thoughts need be expressed
before you are the WORD
how many visions need be manifest
before you are the creation
how many breaths need be known
before you are the NOW
the NOW of Time Eternal... Happy 2014.

Upon Us

Upon us BE this SPRIT of light and change
As constant as each breath of life we breathe
Ever the giving, the receiving, the ebb and flow
The waxing and waning in cresting waves of time

This the blessing of THE WAY, the knowing of the divine
This the birth of the CHRIST CHILD in celebration anew
This the LOVE shared with the GRACE that is YOU.

Merry Christmas to All.

...and so this day ... PRAISE, PRAISE, PRAISE BE

Birth of light, this of divinity's care
Season of celebration with heart we share

Adornments upon a tree, symbols of love
Pray we to the sacred heavens above
Songs and merriment fill they the way
Peace and blessings of a Christmas Day
A Christ Child is born, gifts from wise men of three
A KING, PRAISE, PRAISE, PRAISE BE.

~ In Dedication ~ In PRAISE...

~ In Dedication ~

Anna

Her voice
hear we a lilting grace
Within our hearts
we to place

As too, a rose
beyond conceal
Passion and beauty

she does reveal

As too, an orchid
so delicate, so grand
Divinity and desire
ennoble her command

As too, a daisy
be it frivolity and play
Petals of joyful favor
glory to mark the Way

As too, a lily
resounding be its soulful call
Fragrant be its perfume
Within the blessing, the All

A garden of song
blooms ever unfold
Sings she each note
within a story to be told

Her voice
hear we a lilting grace
Within our hearts
we to place.

~ In Dedication ~

Youngchul

Your presence to live song's sacred quest
Such splendor of sound, blessing's behest

Each expression, be it of body, of spirit sublime
Your accord of heart with word in song divine

BRAVO, is the resounding applause heard
The heart, the soul, and the Praise of Word

Sing ever, for you are the eternal ordained
This the blessings of Youngchul so named.

The Cloak Undone

Morning sky bright anew... lambent be the light... and so ...

The Cloak Undone

Trees in such lavish array
White with hues, tones and shadow gray
Nature's brush strokes all through the night
Illumed by the early morning light
Gentle winds and the warming morn sun
Soon the snow cloak of trees undone
cold winter winds and drifting fallen snow
droplets of light melting crystals aglow
Birds in flight impel the cold winter air
And all be known in God's loving care.

Blessings of the Season dear friends... much love...

The Dawning Light ~ Alchemic Interlude

Among those who avail themselves of my offerings are those that have had, what they perceive to be, traumatic experiences. One cannot change what the past has brought, but one can construct a new reality, a transformation, an alchemic interlude, an intention ... and so these words in reflection...

The Dawning Light

the scars of abuse upon this mind
the echoes of taunts within this heart
the shadows dark upon this soul
momentary be their reign
momentary be I their prisoner
for within lies the power of resolve
for within lies the light of the Omnipresence
for within lies the liberation of spirit
the scars of abuse dissolve into understanding
the echoes of taunts resound with compassion
the shadows dark ascend to the dawning light
and I in the Willful Presence of BEING.

Quake and Storm... OF BEING

Quake and Storm...

OF BEING

what be this passion, this driving force
this calling to create, to design, to express

what be this passion, this driving force
this calling to awaken, to perceive, to understand
to reveal, to share, to resolve
this calling to validate, to define
to live purpose, to be free, to know love
what be this passion, this driving force
to live ideas, disciplines, and mastery
this the sculptor
form, structure, newly conceived
this the artist
metaphor, symbol of creation's command
this the poet
in lamentation, in faith, in joy expressed
this the dancer, the actor, the performer
the music, the word, the song, the drama
this the quake and storm
this each heart in soul's light
what be this passion, this driving force
but the grace and power OF BEING.

Thanksgiving Unto You...

held yet ever so free
this feeling of gratitude grant I unto thee
within this heart and mind of mine
the graces of life, spirit and time
the past and present visions greet
people, places and memories sweet
abundance and bounty, the harvest be known
the gift of labors, the seeds be sown
seedlings and bloom, our blessings received
within all be the Creator conceived
breath and BEING in celebration anew
this a Thanksgiving unto you.

Gershwin plays Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue

Rhapsody in Blue
The Sounding City

The hum of cars, sounding horns
Tongues of many languages
Bright lights, fancy clothes
Saturday nights in memory
This Manhattan reverie
Rhapsody in Blue

The sound of feet on tenement steps
The radio heard from next door
This and eternal moments more
Rhapsody in Blue

The running of numbers
The shoe shine stand
Police car sirens
Dancehall music
Yes, New York City
Be it in reflections ever grand
Rhapsody in Blue

A vision beyond the alley window
Beyond what the street life demands
Rhapsody in Blue.

APOGEE

apogee |ˈapəjē|
noun Astronomy
the point in the orbit of the moon or a satellite at which it is furthest from the earth. The opposite of perigee .
• figurative the highest point in the development of something; the climax or culmination of something...

Moon at the APOGEE,  22nd Nov 2013 ~ Moon reaches APOGEE, the farthest point from Earth (404,561 km - 251,967 mi from Earth).

APOGEE

The moon in its distant orbit so very far
At the APOGEE be this light, be this distant star
This orb divine of sacred light, its calling is heard
Within the darkness, the rapture, the given WORD
As too, the tides of the sea, held in its embrace
I in the ebb and flow of love's light and grace
Ascension, be this the glory, this divinity's call
The splendor, the ecstasy, the majesty of ALL
Within this PRESENCE an ALL knowing blessed BE
And held I within a distant vista, within a celestial sea.
