Pygmalion and Galatea

the beauty of a body blessed it be
the gift of creation bestowed upon thee
reverence to its line and form
glory to its structure and grace
the truth of BEING beyond all conceal
within love's embrace ever eternal ever real.

Rose Marie Raccioppi
Poet Laureate

Pygmalion and Galatea, Jean-Léon Gérôme (French, 1824–1904),1890, Oil on canvas.

"...palette and brush - thought and intent - the way of the artist...
structure and form - stability and grace - the way of the sculptor...
this in beauty known - the way of the poet..."
Rose Marie Raccioppi
