October Mood...

the richness of the dark earth
the yet warming golden beams of light
the amber waves of Autumn's call
bounty and beauty in tone and hue
this be an October mood.

Tonight I felt the warmth, the darker and longer night, the earth and the glory of light in each leaf now gold... and so the October Mood from this palette of Nature's grace... the palette of my imagination holds colors, movement, strokes of passion, intention, and so a SELF be known...

"The work of art must seize upon you, wrap you up in itself and carry you away. It is the means by which the artist conveys his passion. It is the current which he puts forth, which sweeps you along in his passion. The pain passes, the beauty remains." Pierre-Auguste Renoir

October can bring me to my knees, it often does - and then it is November - my favorite month of all - the barren calm gray days and cold silver nights - fires a glow - and stews simmering, Thanksgiving so close and traditions for the season fill me with joy.
Love to you
Gail
