And so it is...

the tear yet falls
the smile yet comes
a loss, a birth
the setting and rising sun

the tear yet falls
the smile yet comes
the thorn, the bloom, petals to unfold
strength, protection, our story be told.

And so true! Remembering how I felt the first time I laughed after Don died...at first I felt guilty...but then memory kicked in to remind me that he and I had both loved to hear the other laugh! It was a balm to my hurting soul to smile again, laugh again.

Theanne, What you describe is so real...There are times when the 'news' of tragedy has me question my right to joy - and then a child's smile will put it all back in balance. And on to you, much light and laughter to fill your days.

The rose is so very symbolic, a metaphor on so many levels. As with life itself must be handled with care, with tenderness, with appreciation, and so known shall be its delicate beauty... Thank you dear friends for being here with me (((♥)))
