A Night Festival ~ here in Tappan, New York

strong gusting winds and sounding sounding chimes
a calling night song
the full moon casts its majestic light
branch and bough in surrender sway
shadows dance upon the shimmering mounds of snow
a night festival dressed in winter's array.

An added word:

This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Snow Moon because the heaviest snows usually fell during this time of the year. Since hunting is difficult, this moon has also been known by some tribes as the Full Hunger Moon.

What a rough life Native Americans had and have! And yet they were/are so in tune with nature, had/have such respect for nature...makes one think about what harsh weather conditions meant for so many not that long ago. They lived with what nature brought to them they didn't try to make nature do what they wanted!

Theanne, Your words speak to many of today's questions and newly pressing issues. I have deep concerns regarding the disruption of nature's balance and the 'science' behind GMO seed/food. There is another voice reaching out within me and expressed on: http://www.theapogeeforum.blogspot.com Your perusal is most most welcomed.

Much love,
