Shadow Not The Light

Haiku Reflections
light ever given

the dance of the sun
sunrise sunset light's beauty
God's warming embrace.

shadow not the light
harken the call of Presence
moment of Being.

see it, feel it...words and art...love the emotion of both!

Theanne, It is tearful to bear the news of killings, deception, human suffering and war. The artist, be it of word, image or form, sees beyond the hurt and loss, is touched by the light of understanding, the embrace of knowing, and a faith in doing. I find myself ever drawn to the works of J.M. William Turner, 1775-1851. He presents an enduring celebration of God's light, even at the gravest of human events.

I saw and felt the destruction and loss - and so too the light of hope. powerful emotions blended and spoken in silence of both written word and image.
Love and hope

Gail, With all that the media reports, we are beckoned to hear beyond the din, see beyond the despair, and know life beyond the destruction. Yes, love and a deeper knowing, a loving faith of life itself.

With blessings,
Rose Marie

Hi, just followed the link from Theanne's Blog and I'm glad I did. I dabble in watercolors, and whenever I look at Turner's work I'm in awe. This one is breathtaking. Thank you for posting it.
