Six Geese A-Laying

On the 6th day of Christmas my true love sent to me

Six geese a-laying
Abundance be the praying
Blessed be the givings of egg, seed, tree and vine
Creation yields its fruit and wine
Bounty be within each gift of love
The troves of life, earth and the heavens above.

Catvibe, For many a year I thought that there was a symbolic meaning to each of the gifts of the "Twelve Days of Christmas." This year I set out to find if this was so. To my delight my intuition served me well. As I reflected on the meanings ascribed, so came the intention to offer a personal poetic response. Your comment, "They bring the short version to life in such a wonderful magical way." is intention fulfilled. Thank You dearly. Much love, Rose Marie
