Spoils of Fall

Two score of seasons has this garden tower seen
Holding time and touched by moss and leaves of green
A blanket now of russet fallen leaves, the spoils of Fall
From that mighty mighty oak tree, bold, strong and tall
Leaves possessed in flight rest now free
And above bough and branch barren be.

Rose Marie: Beautiful little tribute to your loyal pagoda. If it were me, I would print the poem, fold it and put it in plastic and see if I could insert it somewhere inside the pagoda. Someone might have the joy of discovering it down the road . . .

great idea Bonnie. what a cool treasure for someone to stumble upon.

rose, as ever your words inspire...we stand like that pagoda, watching the seasons pass in memory...yet you leave them for us in verse.

happy thanksgiving!

HI ROSEMARIE
Such a weathered and beautiful garden decor - standing tall and proud against the elements of nature - daring it to just try and weaken it's glory, valor and purpose. Much like truth - that withstands all tests of time.

Love to you
Gail
