Where Does The Pain Go - 9/11 - In Dedication

Where does the pain go
When no longer can you take hold
When the fires devour hope
When the moment claims life

Where does the pain go
When man annihilates man
When terror rules reason and heart
When the unspeakable defies God’s name

Where does the pain go
When the innocence is lost
When suspicion and fear hover
When trust is betrayed

Where does the pain go
When a life is saved
When love holds a memory
When grace touches the tearful heart

Where does the pain go
When spirit and soul awaken faith
When destiny abides in God’s light
When the silence offers guidance

Where does the pain go
When determination and resolve assemble
When purpose and plan are set forth
When in the name of God, life, beauty and love are called.

"When determination and resolve assemble
When purpose and plan are set forth."

This is exactly what I have been feeling all morning and what I tried to express in my post today. You always speak to my heart Rose Marie, and I thank you again for that.

Amazing that good in so many forms can "assemble" as a result of evil acts. Thank you Rose Marie.

Rose Marie-

So lovely are your words of truth and hope. "When purpose and plan are set forth......" you have such excellence in expression - I am still with amazement. Amen.

Love Gail
peace......

These are venerable thoughts on this momentous day. Now to listen to the music of the soul...

The pain goes no where, it lingers only to remind us of that horrible day. For a moment in time a country came together as one to help each other, love each other, lean on each other oh the pain was there but so was the strenth and pride of a beautiful nation. God Bless you all......:-) Hugs

Thank you each for your thoughts and so...

The Aftermath — September 11, 2001

Confidence and courage, words to fill the
empty place of pain
When oppression and destruction upon the
spirit maim
This day is seen the shadows of despair
Where is love and God’s grace and care
We question and only within shall we hear
The truth, the confidence, the courage to
banish fear
These moments remembered our heritage
defined
A history of aspiration no man to confine
The aftermath our souls to bear this day
We grasp the spirit, the faith and let not our
courage stray.

Blessings and peace,

Rose Marie

On this day of September 11, 2010, I am flying the American Flag in remembrance for 9/11. Together we pause to remember the victims, to grieve with the families and friends of those who died, and to honor the heroes of that day and each day since who have sacrificed to save lives and serve their country.
