Upon Listening

Color, sound, the undulating wave of breath
Sentiments lyrical, light and of depth
Silent be the knowing of the night
Tones calling to the darkness and the light.

John, Are you familiar with the music of Philip Glass, "Monsters of Grace" - its music inspired the post.

Really intersting video clip, especially watching his hands as he played, and the way the tones call, as you say. It's wonderful how he builds such texture out of the repetition of simple phrases.

Mairi, So pleased for your visit. And yes, seeing Paul Barnes perform live last night, at the Soiree Society of the Arts, continues to be an inspiration. I had the pleasure of presenting a poetry reading in tribute to his performance. More will be forthcoming. Best always, Rose Marie
