Late Summer Sun

The warmth of the late Summer sun I yet feel
Whispers of the changing season this day to reveal
Vibrant strokes of yellow upon birch tree leaves
Taken alight by this day's caressing breeze
A calm resolve, Summer's bloom hushed in fulfillment array
Trees, brush, fields of green, readied for the Fall parlay.

Rose Marie,
Beautifully expressed about the changing of the season. With your expression of words of the changes ,I can only imagine the beauty of those
colors.

Hi Rose Marie-

I love the colors of change - your poem expresses this so beautifully as the world turns and the shadows dance through thinning trees I am full of energy and hope. I absorb the remnants of summer and turn my collar to brace for the cold.

Love Gail
Peace.....

Rose Marie: Love the words you use to invoke the change of seasons: "whispers, warmth, strokes, caress, hushed, readied". They really evoke an Indian Summer feeling inside me.
