Seized be this spirit in a moment of dark despair

Absent of knowing God's light and ever loving care
Oppression dark upon my heart yet be lain
The shackle of emotion still held profane
This mind to silence the daunting echoes of a time past
And free this heart from binding chains cast
Memory called to free this heart this soul
Alchemy to ring its welcomed toll
I again in a golden light of faith and love
Served by truth and the majesty of heavens above
Clear be the messages of soul now heard
And known be the glory of God's Word.

  1. I don't know why exactly, but after reading this, I'm singing the Beatles' "Let It Be" in my mind..."When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, 'Let it be.'"

    Hope all is well.

  2. Good Morning Karen, Thanks for the caring word. Faith serves life - and LIFE IS GOOD! The message of Alchemy - "Shadows Cast Gold" - the transformation, and then the glory of golden light. All is well.

  3. Hi Rose Marie-

the painting is deep and powerful, with a flow toward light. Your poem? Ah, as one who was chained, bound and gagged for so long - I feel every word. The memories are mine - and once realized the chains fell off, my voice sang, my heart delighted with freedom - truth is my souls energy.
    I love your words.

  4. Gail, We most certainly have been on a like path. It is the arrival, the liberation, the knowing that is no longer denied, the TRUTH of our purpose and the faith that it be fulfilled, and so, the 'golden' dawn. APPLAUSE for Faith shared!

  5. Hi again-
Yes, yes we have been on like path - traveled long and hard and have arrived. I recall once being at a "spirituality workshop" - for three days. We were asked to write on the board where we were headed. I wrote, "I have arrived". Some understood.
Some knew I meant I had arrived to "be", to "me" - to "truth" - most didn't.
It was partly during and certainly after "James-Daniel-Jill" ( a post in my blog) that I took a real turn to "me". And so her I am - and here you are too. :-) All is as it should be.

    Love to you

  6. Beautiful words about freeing the heart and welcoming a new life. The picture even reflects a new beginning as the colors go from grays to yellow and white. A bright and happy life!

  7. Choices, It is so pleasing when the intent of my postings, both in word and image, are fully understood. Yes, from darkness to light, from fear to freedom and TRUTH... the alchemy, the transformation.

  8. From a moment of dark despair to a transfomation of golden light of faith and love...your meassge is loud & clear!
    Beautiful as always, Rose Marie!
    Thank you!

  9. Margie, this too so much of what you convey. Thank you for the light you share.
