Liebestod

Passion's pulse in command
Piano keys await your hand
Sounding this array of emotion
Fingers set in waves of motion
God, Truth, Power, Love and Grace
Known with each finger placed
Piano keys voice spirit’s calling plea
Presence, reflections, lyrical reverie
Gloria Patri be the praise, the claim
Held is this grandeur in your name.

Such emotion in this poem as are all your writings. The words are always so powerful.

That's a very nice poem Rose Marie. It reminds me of the days when I took piano lessons. I loved the piano so much, but life got in the way! As I grow and relearn how to live life, I long for music again. At this point in my life, I'm still a nomad, but once I settle (hopefully soon!) I will go back to the piano, and maybe the fiddle too!

Choices, Power, passion and intention are the imperatives for expression and creativity.

Rain, Music celebrates our being. I can already hear you playing. How wonderful the piano and fiddle! I can picture you playing the fiddle on your outdoor ventures, trees loving your song, and ducks waddling along!

The lines have a stateliness that seems in tune with the subject; like your observation about music being the poetry of emotion.

Thank you John, When I listen to particular piano works, the words reflecting emotion reveal themselves effortlessly.
